Today after weeks of hard campaigning the people of Bridlington North went to the polls to elect a new East Riding of Yorkshire Councillor after the sad passing of Conservative Councillor, Chad Chadwick earlier this year.
Sadly, we were not successful in this election, and despite our strong campaign, good work on local issues, great candidate (Jonathan Bibb pictured below), and loads of local support, the Lib Dems took this seat from us.
The Liberal Democrat Campaign promised to 'save' Bridlington Hospital (something the council has no power over), we hope the Lib Dems deliver on their promises to local residents, we will be watching.
In the meantime, we will continue to be the party to deliver for Bridlington and the wider East Riding, on the economy, democracy, the environment, council services, and much more!
