East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight is urging all East Riding residents who are eligible to get their seasonal booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The NHS is asking people who are aged 50 or over, to come forward for a winter COVID-19 booster.
Sir Greg said: “We were the first country in the world to roll out a successful vaccine programme and it has helped break the link between COVID-19 and serious illness, or even death, in many cases.
“By having a Covid-19 booster vaccination, you are not only protecting yourself but you are helping the NHS by allowing them to allocate desperately needed hospital capacity towards non-COVID patients. I am encouraging all those eligible in East Yorkshire to come forward and “get jabbed”.
