The East Riding of Yorkshire Council and local MP Sir Greg Knight have pledged to do all they can to support residents and businesses during the month-long national lockdown which began on the 5th November.
The lockdown runs until the 2nd December, unless extended, and includes tight restrictions being put in place with people being encouraged to work from home where it is possible to do so.
Financial support for businesses will be available and the responsibility for distributing assistance has been given to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The Leader of the Council, Cllr Richard Burton, has indicated that although the lockdown will bring challenges, the council will meet such challenges with resolve.
