Tourism Minister Nigel Huddleston MP has visited the East Riding at the request of East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight. He joined Sir Greg in a visit to the Burnby Hall Gardens and Stewart Museum in Pocklington.
The museum features a range of cultural exhibits, several of which have been recognised by UNESCO as being of national and international importance.
Sir Greg said “Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum are one of the region’s tourist gems,” adding “I am delighted that the Minister found the time to visit Pocklington and tour the Museum.
During the visit, the MPs were joined by Pocklington Councillor Kay West and the Chair of Museum Trustees, Chris Clubley.
Afterwards the Minister said he was impressed by what he saw and indicated that he intends to visit again.
